Smarted is an innovative start-up that began as a spin-off from its founders’ scientific research in the field of Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence. Our mission is to develop innovative solutions to meet people’s socio-cognitive needs, with a focus on learning, teaching, recovery and enhancement of neuro-cognitive functions.
We worked in +15 Erasmus+ projects.
In all the projects the company deals with the development of the technological
side outputs:
- innovative application of Augmented Reality tools (Tangible User Interfaces – TUIs)
- development of Serious Games or gamified APP
- development of MOOC and learning kits.
Nowadays, Smarted lead an Erasmus+ project in School sector called CHAMALEON (2023-1-IT02-KA220-SCH000160670), and it is Partner in several projects (AILEM, EUTEKNE)

Dr. Piergiorgio Guarini
PhD in Neuroscience and Education, he is Smarted Project Agent: he deals with the projects’ proposal, from the idea to the submission, going through the tenders’ mapping, establishment of the partnership and writing (from the draft to the final proposal).
He is currently managing 3 Erasmus+ project and one MSCA Staff-Exchange, both as manager as well as researcher in digital literacy training for teachers
Dr. Raffaele Di Fuccio
is the former CEO and Project Manager of the Company. He works also as Associate Professor on Special Education in Online Pegaso University. Raffaele Di Fuccio is a biomedical engineer, PhD in the University of Naples
– Federico II in Human Mind and Gender Studies. His research interests focus on the advanced teaching/learning
technologies and applications; Tangible User Interfeces (TUIs) with a multisensory approach in the education, and on the
development of artificial intelligence models and algorithms for classification.
